This product went into service here about a month ago over here. For some reason no mention of this step was made obvious in the joystick instructions. Initially there was some confusion as to how the unit should work. A little tap on the face-button of the wireless receiver woke the unit up and brought everything to life. It has been smooth sailing ever since. Evidently five years production has allowed the manufacturer to work out any previous bugs, that we may not be aware of.
It takes 3 AA batteries and they seem to last a fair amount of time. I have used this joystick on my gaming computer and it is one of the best. I really like that it is cordless, we certainly don't need more cords running here and there. If you're looking for a nice joystick, this is one I would recommend without reservation. BTW, Windows Vista has no problem finding the drivers and installs them automatically and they are more up to date than the ones on the CD.
I've used this almost daily for appox. I use this stick almost every day and it works great. The handling is alot better than I expected. three months and yet to replace the batteries. Great buy.
The instructions didn't mention it, but for Mac users it was a simple plug and play operation once the batteries were installed. After that -- start flying. It's being used for the "Flyboys" game for which it works very well. Thanks Logitech.
I think this Joystick is great. It gives you the freedom of being almost any were and controlling the actions of your movements. It has a nice sleek design and multiple fetchers and functions. Its great for gaming because the cords do not get all tangled.
